Focus and Scope

Jurnal Netralitas dan Pemilu is a journal that provides scientific information resources aimed at researchers, research institutions, government agencies, and stakeholders. The journal publishes original research manuscripts, policy paper that focus of ASN neutrality; election; election violations; electoral law enforcement.


Peer Review Process

Jurnal Netralitas dan Pemilu uses an online submission and review system. The submission and peer review of every article must be managed using this system and based on following Peer Review Policy.

  • Jurnal Netralitas dan Pemilu Editorial Board is responsible for selection of papers and selection of reviewers.
  • Articles must typically be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
  • Reviewers are unaware of the identity of the authors, and authors are also unaware of the identity of reviewers (double blind review)
  • Reviewing process will consider novelty, objectivity, method, scientific impact, conclusion, and references.
  • Editor will send the final decision regarding the submission to the corresponding author based on reviewer’s recommendation.
  • Jurnal Netralitas dan Pemilu Editorial Board shall protect the confidentiality of all material submitted to the journal and all communications with reviewers.

Publication Frequency

The frequency of Jurnal Netralitas dan Pemilu will publish 6 articles in each number and the frequency of issuance remains twice a year in May and November.


Open Access Statement

Jurnal Netralitas dan Pemilu is an Open Access journal, which means that all content is available at no cost to the user or their institution. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles or use them for any other lawful purpose without obtaining the prior permission of the publisher or the author. This corresponds to the BOAI definition of Open Access.


Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Jurnal Netralitas dan Pemilu is dedicated to following best practices on ethical matters, errors and retractions. The prevention of publication malpractice is one of the important responsibilities of the editorial board. Any kind of unethical behavior is not acceptable, and Bestuurskunde doesn't tolerate plagiarism in any form. Authors submitting articles to Bestuurskunde affirms that manuscript contents is original.

The following duties outlined for editors, authors, and reviewers are based on the COPE Code of Conduct for Journal Editors. Editors, authors, and reviewers will also adhere to the Bestuurskunde submission guideline policies.

Editor
  1. Based on the review report of the editorial review board, the editor can accept, reject, or request modifications to the manuscript.
  2. Each editor must ensure that each manuscript is initially evaluated by the editor for originality, making use of appropriate software to do so. Following desk review, the manuscript is forwarded blind peer review to the editorial review board who will make a recommendation to accept, reject, or modify the manuscript.
  3. The editor must ensure that each manuscript received by Jurnal Netralitas dan Pemilu is reviewed for its intellectual content without regard to sex, gender, race, religion, citizenship, etc. of the authors.
  4. The editor must ensure that information regarding manuscripts submitted by the authors is kept confidential.
  5. The editor will not use unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript for his/her own research without written consent of the author.
Authors
  1. Authors should present an accurate account of their original research as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Manuscripts will follow the submission guidelines of the journal. (See submission guideline policies)
  2. Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original work.
  3. Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently. It is also expected that the author will not publish redundant manuscripts or manuscripts describing the same research in more than one journal.
  4. Authors should acknowledge all sources of data used in the research and cite publications that have been influential in the research work.
  5. Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to conception, design, execution or interpretation of the reported study. Others who have made significant contribution must be listed as co-authors. Authors also ensure that all the authors have seen and agreed to the submitted version of the manuscript and their inclusion of names as co-authors.
  6. Authors should provide raw data related to their manuscript for editorial review and must retain such data.
  7. If at any point of time, the author(s) discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in submitted manuscript, then the error or inaccuracy must be reported to the editor.
Reviewers
  1. Information regarding manuscripts submitted by authors should be kept confidential and be treated as privileged information.
  2. Manuscript reviewers must ensure that authors have acknowledged all sources of data used in the research. Any kind of similarity or overlap between the manuscripts under consideration or with any other published paper of which reviewer has personal knowledge must be immediately brought to the editor's notice.
  3. Review of submitted manuscripts must be done objectively and the reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
  4. In the event that a reviewer feels it is not possible for him/her to complete review of manuscript within stipulated time then this information must be communicated to the editor, so that the manuscript could be sent to another reviewer.

The Editors of Jurnal Netralitas dan Pemilu make every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the “Content”) contained in its publications. However, the Editors of Bestuurskunde make no representations or warranties whatsoever as to the accuracy, completeness or suitability for any purpose of the Content and disclaim all such representations and warranties whether express or implied to the maximum extent permitted by law. Article Processing Charges

Every article submitted to Jurnal Netralitas dan Pemilu will not have any 'Article Processing Charges'. This includes submitting, peer-reviewing, editing, publishing, maintaining and archiving, and allows immediate access to the full text versions of the articles.


Screening Plagiarism

The editors will run plagiarism check using Crossref Similarity Check Powered by Turnitin for the submitted manuscripts before sending it to reviewers. We do not process any plagiarised contents. If a manuscript has over 20% of plagiarism, we will send back the manuscript to the author to be revised for the plagiarised contents.


References Management

Every article submitted to Jurnal Netralitas dan Pemilu shall use reference management software, Mendeley or Zotero.
